How long does it take to approve the Course Withdrawal Form and do I need to go in for any interviews?

Wait, so if I understand correctly you're dropping out before you get an offer to do Arts?  Even if you're sure you'll get an offer for Arts, I believe it's definitely possible to stay enrolled in Commerce until you accept that offer.  You should ask someone about that?

It might be better to stick with your current course and use the subjects you take as breadth rather than quit altogether...it can really cut down on your course length after transferring!  So what I'm saying is: this semester take 3xCommerce and 1xArts.  After you do your transfer you would have 3xCommerce breadth and 1x Arts elective done so you would effectively still have 2.5 years of your degree left (you would just take one more breadth during your degree).  Or you can try and take two breadths (Arts) this semester, I'm sure it wouldn't be too late to add an Arts subject in place of one of your commerce subjects if you went in to the Arts student centre and requested enrolment very soon.

Thanks for your message. :) I'm actually doing an Arts subject already but I was just really, really confused last night and wanted to drop out altogether before I have to pay fees, and do a folio-building course to get into a visual arts course or take a gap half-year to figure out what I should do with my life or something. Being more rational today, I've decided to soldier on with this degree and try to get used to it...

Sorry for wasting forum space with a dumb topic. :(

Don't settle on something you don't like!  But I do feel that two weeks isn't a good indication of the whole course - you might come out feeling you really like it at the end of the semester or you might know a little more certainly that it isn't for you.  I'm sure you will find the right path in time but I would stick it out with Commerce for a little longer to be sure you don't like it!
