2009 Accounting Unit 3 Exam Suggested Solutions
« on: June 14, 2009, 02:23:59 am »
Here are my suggested solutions.

I do not guarantee that they are all correct, in fact, I think I could have made quite a few errors. If you see one, post a reply with an errata.

For detailed solutions to questions involving ledgers and such, I would need to scan them at school or something, since I do not have a scanner myself.

Errata:
Q1.5.3: $63200
Q2.4.2: $8000 for Rent (just to clarify, not an error)
Q2.5.2: $73400 (? not too sure, haven't got time to check)

Disclaimer:
There seems to be a lot of errors in my exam. Sorry about that. I won't be correcting it for sometime due to a string of SACs. If any errors, feel free to post your angry complaints below.  ;)

If you want a better set of solutions, wait for Jamison's.

I think the answer to 1.5.3 is wrong. I think it should be 63200 as it is a POST adjusted trial balance.

some of my answers are simplified since I cannot upload entire ledger accounts without a scanner.

R u sure the capital for 2.5.2 was $41200?
How could it be when profit was $25000 plus $30000 of capital contributions and the balance at the start of $32200

Anyone have some correct solutions yet? I wouldn't mind having them to see what I did wrong.

How soon is that? I have requested to have the copy of my exam sent to my school for viewing, and i would like some reference of the correct answers.
