Time Limit for SACs?

Hey, so I've been having my Year of Wonders text response SAC this week. One of my teachers was telling me how in her previous years, she only gave 2 periods to complete the SAC. We're lucky because we get 4 periods and a 'cheatsheet' with 20 odd quotes.

So, just out of curiosity, how much time do your teachers give you to complete your English SACs?

I think two hours worked well for us :). If I were to teach a class, I would probably allow them closer to an hour and a half than two hours... Possibly around one hundred and five minutes.

Our context sacs (I think those ones anyway) were 2 hours. The rest of them were about 100 minutes (2 periods)

Oh wow, I think we just have too much time then. :/ We get about 120-150 mins. But the teacher has specified that this time will decrease as the year goes on, so we'll probably have around 90 mins for our next SAC too, though I hope not. :P

I can't believe that you guys get so long for an English SAC.
The exam pretty much allows 60 minutes per question..

I get 90 mins for my english SAC but even that is probably not enough time for me. It takes me about 90 mins to scribble three pages of bs. Some of the sample essays handed out by a teacher were 6 pages long and they were full of gold!!!

We generally don't have so much time either- I think it's just because our classes were struggling a lot, and so they were lenient.

& regardless, I think by exam time, we would've written enough practices to be able to make genuine, meaningful comments in an hour, as opposed to our current state, where we write, as my teacher puts it, drivel. :P

My teacher puts it this way too, the practices we do now will eventually speed us up to write up each section decently within an hour, but right now for SACs we're given more time for the less practice we've had.

I can't really tell if I've gotten faster throughout year 11 though, since our exams back then copied the 3 hr VCAA style and yet somehow I managed to finish a decent essay for each section for my mid year and the same for the end of year. It was probably easier to do though, which is probably the reason.
