Does anyone know if the SSAF is automatically transferred to HECS? Or do I need to pay it per semester/year as they happen?

On that note, I think the SSAF needs to be paid by Friday, reminder for all those who might have forgotten :)

I don't think it's automatic, I think you have to go into WES and select "Apply for a fee payment extension" under Fees / Scholarships or something like that (sorry, I did this last semester so I can't remember exactly how to do it)

Thanks! I might just pay it now, seems to be the easiest thing to do. Is the SSAF annual or biannual?

If I recall, you only need to apply for it to be transferred the first time and then all future fees will be automatically transferred

Just a little technicality, SSAF doesn't actually get transferred to HECS.  There is a separate system called SA-HELP but it operates exactly like HECS.

And SSAF is an annual thing unless you finish mid year.  I'm not sure about Monash but at UoM you pay the part-time fee if you finish mid-year.
