doing essays and assignments at uni and all ive been told is i got a distinction which is obviously 70 -80 %

but like what did i actually recieve between 70 and 80, say if the assignment was worth 10 marks towards my grade will i be getting a 7 or an 8??
when do i know??? do the tutors decide?? someone told me they decide before they give you your final grade and if you need +1 to get a HD or D they will give you 8 rather than 7

Hm, you should have an exact grade on moodle. Any assignment I've received feedback/grades for, I know the exact number. Go to the unit in moodle, and then down the bottom left there should be a link that says "Grades" above a predominantly green square (with some red dots). Or, you can go to the unit, go to the actual assessment link, eg "Critical Thinking Exercise 1" in "Week 5", click that link, and possibly check your grades from there.
✌️just do what makes you happy ✌️

nope none of my essays are even on moodle as grades. only a mid semester test number grade.
apparently it is the standard rule of business and economics to not reveal number grades??? whyyyyyy

In some of my classes, they just give a C or a D or whatever. Their reasons might vary, it might be a moodle glitch sometimes, other times it might be down to their preference, sometimes they might have some kind of philosophical reason for it (not trying to demoralise kids or something...i dont know).

If it really stresses you out, email them and ask. The worst that can happen is you're no better off than you were before.
