LIP can vary with each individual depending on their aerobic capacity - the greater their aerobic capacity, the greater the level of exertion the individual can perform at without lactate production exceeding lactate removal.
However lactate inflection point will occur when anaerobic pathways are undertaken for energy production. This usually occurs at approximately 85% VO2-max
