LING10002 - Intercultural Communication
Passed
2013, Semester 1, Parkville, On Campus, Semester 1
Mark: 75 Grade: Second Class Hons A (H2A)

CURSE YOU BELL CURVED BREADTH

Unfortunately I didn't get my full H1 streak, but it makes hardly any difference to my GPA so I'm happy. Good first semester!

^^ Luckily for you, I would say that:
Maths for biomedicine is harder than statistics in terms of scoring.
Genes and Environment is easier to score well in the practicals etc. but harder to score well in the exam. (Overall my mark was higher for Genes and Environment).
You're used to the breadth system now, so it should be better.

Then there's physics. I totally feel for you.

Where can you see your GPA, and is it even important in engineering?

Nice just got another H1. That makes 2 H1s and an H2B. My first H1 and I get two in the same semester. Makes up for my crap first semester last year.  :D ;D :)

On a side note are subjects that are worth more credit points weighted more? I.e. if one subject is worth like 25 points (say H3) and another is worth 12.5 (like H1) is that equal to two H3s and one H1?

I think you have to manually calculate it. A friend of mine said you only need like a 65% average for engineering tho take this with a grain of salt.

GERM10004 - German 1
Passed
2013, Semester 1, Parkville, On Campus, Semester 1
Mark: 89 Grade: First Class Honours (H1)

Was expecting a 90+ for all the effort I put in :'(
The exam was fairly mean, though, so I guess I should be very happy with this!
So, at the end of the day I have a 63, 86, 89 and 91. I don't really think I should be complaining at all, haha  :-X

Which subject is worse: Stats or Physics for Biomed? Totally looking forward to next semester.
