So, I'd like to major in Neuroscience at Melbourne Uni but also want to cover all the prerequisite subjects to get into the Doctor of Medicine.I'm in year 12 and have absolutely no idea whether this is possible whilst doing a bachelor of science. Can anybody help/know?

Yeah, this is easily possible.

In first year, take Chemistry 1, Chemistry 2, Biology of Cells and Organisms & Genetics and the Evolution of Life.
In second year, take Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Principles of Human Structure and Human Physiology.
In third year, take Principles of Neuroscience, Neurophysiology and any of the other approved neuroscience major subjects.

Consult the handbook for more info. :)

Neuroscience core subjects don't have second year prerequisites so you can fit in biochem, anatomy and physiology with other subjects you may be interested in doing in second year without a problem. You may even be able to do a neuroscience core subject in 2nd year. It is the most flexible life sciences major when it comes to planning your subjects, I reckon!

And also, depending on your VCE or IB scores in Chemistry if you've done so, it is possible for you to waive Chemistry 1 entirely. Worked for me and saved me from a semester of chem!
