Secondary Study Claims?

What is this exactly? Im really confused :S I did a 3/4 subject last year, and I was wondering whether I needed to include a claim for 2012 for my study score to be used for atar calculations :/ I don't know whether its necessary or not... I made a claim for both 2013 and 2012 and put in both my school's and my own details, but Im still paranoid that my score from last year may not be counted despite having put in a claim, since I didnt have to put in any info about my subjects or anything... could somebody please explain what the secondary studies claims is meant to be for, so that I can put my concerns to rest?

VTAC can access all that data about what subjects you've done and what results you got from VCAA. Here's a quote from VTAC to reassure you "In most cases, you don't need to send in copies of your results for Australian high school and university qualifications because VTAC can access your results online." http://www.vtac.edu.au/applying/need/evidence-results.html

If they needed you to type in that data, they would have asked for it in the application process. (edit: see "If VTAC can't get your results" in that link I gave above, where they say they notify you if they can't get the data automatically)

As far as I'm aware, you make a claim for each year that you've done a 3/4 subject. The wording that VTAC uses everywhere for that section implies that ("all units of Year 12 studies undertaken in previous years"). So it sounds like you've done everything correctly.
