Cheers man, just wondering with the primer, is it a DNA primer or RNA primer or?

dna primers are used in PCR cuz they don't need to be replaced  :)

A primer is a synthetic, single strand of DNA that can be made up of up to 25 DNA or RNA nucleotides.

;) that definition doesn't make sense.

Which part of it doesn't make sense?

A primer is a synthetic, single strand of up to 25 nucleotides.

^Is that better?

You said the strand could be made up of DNA or RNA nucleotides, but the strand itself was DNA. I have a feeling that's where he's suggesting it doesn't make sense.

Yeah you said it was a strand of DNA but that it could be made of either DNA or RNA!
She* also!

LOL oops I just realised that. Could I have said a synthetic, single stranded nucleic acid made up of up to 25 DNA or RNA nucleotides?

Yeah I understand that, I was just making sure whether it was RNA or DNA in PCR.

How would I define genotype?
In Mendel's law of segregation, what does it mean by 'a gene can exist in more than one form'

Genotype is the set of alleles present within a cell that code for particular traits.

Alleles are different forms or variants of a particular gene. So the fact that a gene can exist in more than one form alludes to alleles.
