This is a ridiculous thread, find out once you're there :p . It's like asking what a non-uni party is like. There's not like theres this one thing that fits the definition of a party and theres some official government guy going around with a check list to make sure your party is up to regulation. Just like ones not at a uni, it really varies.
Different clubs/societies run different parties with different themes and goals. The Monash German Club's oktoberfest party (steins, german band, lots of leederhosen and pretzels), which i incidentally highly endorse, is obviously going to be different from say the Art Students Society foam party.
