I think it really depends on which parties you go to and what type of crowd you hang around with. There's a really broad spectrum.

Having said that you probably won't be getting the Naked Mile :P

It's all about drinking..you get the chance of kissing a girl if you're lucky...but it gets disgusting after seeing the same girl being kissed by two different guys in one party.

Well I'm not too sure if you're being serious or not but in a society like ours today, it's not as rare as you think for a girl to kiss multiple guys at a party (unless you're talking about simultaneously? Then that's simply messed up in my opinion).

But Pi sums it up perfectly, it depends on who you are.
I'm still in year 12 but of course you hear stories but from some of my friends that are in uni's personal anecdotes, it can get pretty crazy if you know the right people/go to the specific parties.

It's all up to you, there's something for everyone from what I can see.
Whether it's a world of Warcraft party, a night out at cloud nine or boards, or one of those drug and booze filled house parties that go way overboard, there'll always be something for you to do as a university student.
It was just my opinion. I don't see anything bizarre but I dont personally like it :)

As a current year 12 student, I'd guess that uni parties are no different than the parties I've already seen and have been a part of over the past few years. There's just not that much that I could see being different.

"Differences" in uni parties is obviously incredibly subjective and dictated by your life experiences thus far.

Not even real frat parties are like what is depicted in US movies.  A real frat party is being summoned into an apartment building rather than a frathouse as quickly as possible, to get off the street to avoid being detected by campus police.  Then being packed like sardines with about 50-70 other people in a single room which is literally about 50 degrees celsius and sweating until you die.  Then someone plays their virtual DJ set off their macbook on repeat and everyone gets their jungle juice spiked.  You leave roofied and in desperate need of a shower.

True here too, but the frats are actually in frathouses, so I guess it depends where you go. Thankfully the nightlife here isn't frat centric (ew ew ew):/

(sorry about the double post, just saw this)

I actually have a real problem with this statement. First of all, I do not like the fact that you've signaled out girls rather than guys. Also, who are you to tell girls that it's disgusting if they make out with two guys (or two girls) at a party? People are allowed to make their own choices.

Yeah there are plenty of guys who go around trying to hit up multiple girls in the same hour or whatever, working the room to see who is keen.  How is that behaviour any different to a girl making out with multiple guys?

This is a ridiculous thread, find out once you're there :p . It's like asking what a non-uni party is like. There's not like theres this one thing that fits the definition of a party and theres some official government guy going around with a check list to make sure your party is up to regulation. Just like ones not at a uni, it really varies.

Different clubs/societies run different parties with different themes and goals. The Monash German Club's oktoberfest party (steins, german band, lots of leederhosen and pretzels), which i incidentally highly endorse, is obviously going to be different from say the Art Students Society foam party.

holy shit... you're corey aren't you?

Shh, he changed his identity in exchange for testifying against them.

What kind of parties were you going to before
