hi, im very interested in going to a tutoring service over the holidays, but im concerned that it will be just like my past experiences with a another tutoring service i went to for half a year, it was freakin expensive and i got nothing out of the English, but gained some in maths. the teacher was seemed average and nothing spectacular, so my question is for people who see this comment, is it worth going to a service like this one as it has been recommended by a few big names on this forum, as im very interested as it is mainly tutors that have achieved excellence or should i just stay at home and study for the whole day like i usually do lmfao. thank you

I'm not associated with Connect, but I've met a few of their English and Maths lecturers. They'll be nothing short of amazing :)

It depends a lot on whether you feel that lectures are suitable for your personal learning style.

Are you in year 11 or in year 12? If you're unsure, you can have a look at what past students have said about Connect :)

I remember that Biology was an absolute blast - really opened my eyes to gaps in my knowledge. I think Connect has a good reputation which it actually lives up to.

We may or may not cover GUAiA (it depends on the tutor), but we will definitely cover the key ideas in Identity & Belonging, which, to be frank, is more important than actually doing the specific text!  We won't be looking at 12 Angry Men specifically either, but will cover text response holistically!

yaaay! I've been waiting for this announcement for a while :P

Can anyone from ATARnotes who have had experience with these lectures give their own opinion/feedback and account of the lecture?

$65 for 4 and a half hours (well $57 or so for us) seems like a pretty low price haha.
TRUST ME. It is SOOOOO worth it. That's why I loved Connect and I'm going to them for the subjects I need this year. They offer affordable prices, amazing notes, awesome lecturers and you just feel good coming out of the lectures! I know I've said this before, but I reckon a lot of my success in psych last year was because of ConnectEd and Adrian's amazing notes + lecture. It really depends on the person, but I found it a really worthwhile experience! The lecturers are past vce students, and I feel that this makes it a lot easier to connect (haha, pardon the pun ;)) with the lecturer as you know that they get it because they went through the exact same thing as you not too long ago!

They only went on sale an hour ago, so there are approximately 125-180 seats available for all subjects except chinese, which is capped at 35 (its a workshop, not a lecture)

Just wondering.. With further, how does it work? I'm a little confused. Do we pay fore CORE and 3 modules of our choice or am I missing something?

Yeah, so further took tonnes of planning to get right :) When you book, we ask for your modules. Based on your combination of modules, you're allocated to attend core + your 3 modules according to the schedule on the subject page. So 1 ticket buys you Core + 3 modules (with notes for each session of course)
