Errors in mid semester test marking

Is it possible that errors could have been made with MST marking (computer scan sheets??)
I seriously thought I got a clear H1 for my physiology MST but my mark says 11/30

If you've made an error in say submitting the answer for question 10 which was supposed to be for 9 and proceeded to to that for the rest of the test, could they change your mark if you expressed that you knew the answers?

That's the only reason I can think of, this makes no sense to me.

Sorry to hear about that El! It sounds very likely that you circled the correct answer, but ahead of the question you meant to.
Try emailing Charles, and explain your situation to him? He usually replies very quickly!

Yep emailed him. I'll be extremely disappointed if i've done that and i'm not sure if they can even change the mark in going by my word.

If you really had circled all the correct answers, just out of sync, it would be clear that that was the error and that you did actually know the answers.
Whether they can or will actually do something about it is a different story. Hope it works out.

Do you circle the right answer in the question sheet? Because a friend of mine always does that. And she always says that if she messes up by skipping a question she can always ask the the coordinator to compare the computer sheet against the question sheet and see if the correct answer sequence was on it, maybe they will be kind enough to change the mark. I don't think it has ever happened to her though  so I wouldn't have any what the outcome was but maybe you should try asking them because that seems to be a lot of marks you've lost.

They can still check to see if there is a correct sequence in the bubbles. So there is still a glimmer of hope.

I hope it works out for you :( There is definitely no way someone like you would legitimately fail a MST.

Give him two hours give or take. I had an administrative error happen regarding my PRS number assignment being left out of the sheet at the start of the semester and they were pretty prompt on it. & if it is indeed wrong (which it sounds to be since I can't imagine anyone failing THAT bad on purpose) it means we beat the Biomeds even more! :P

Maybe it could it be an error in them recording the marks.. Perhaps he typed in 11 instead of 21 or something like that?

UPDATE, post on the physiology facebook page:

Guys, something terrible has happened. it seems that Grade Centre was recently "updated" centrally and in the process of doing so, the marks for the MST have been scrambled with students receiving incorrect marks for their MST.

This means that many of you in fact received a different mark from the one posted.

While this error was far beyond our control, I apologise sincerely if you got your hopes up and your mark is in fact lower than you first thought.

We currently have all hands on deck to resolve this issue. Again, my apologies, and I will let you know when it has been resolved.
