Out of Neap, Insight, TSSM, MAV and Heffernan- which are the two hardest companies?
Thanks in advance!

In my opinion, TSSM and MAV. But others may find different one's harder.

MAV offer VCAA like questions...and are probably the best ones in terms of difficulty with the real exam. Personally I find heffernan papers challenging

I find Heffernan to be straightforward. MAV is also good. NEAP is just ridiculous. Dosregarding the fact that it may be a challenging paper, so many sections of the exam are so irrelevant to the course that has been taught. Nonetheless, the questions are not of the same style of VCAA exams.

NEAP and Kilbaha are the ball-breakers (they're so hard they're probably not even worth doing - honestly). Good luck if you decide to do these.

I'm doing Kilbaha but not NEAP.

Aiming high, is it recommended to do kilbaha and neap papers? or are they just a waste of time?

They're seriously so off the scope of questions VCAA would ask. For Further Maths, you don't need to know how to calculate the mean using a frequency table with intervals - trial exams have these. Plus, they actually have so many errors in their exam solutions (across many subjects).

VCAA, MAV, Insight and perhaps Heffernan (they tend to be a bit on the easy side) are the ones most worth doing. :)

I'm going to do the most difficult exams from those in the days before the exam - preparing myself for the worst. Is that a bad thing?

It might be since I'm almost certain you're more likely to lose marks from silly errors, rather than difficult questions. My first Further exam was on a Friday last year, and the last day I did a trial exam was on Monday. Even over the weekend between the exams I did nothing.

I think you should do them first considering you're only studying two subjects this year.
Learn from any mistakes you make (by doing these exams first, you all have lots of time to go over your errors and fix them), make sure you remember them and then do the "easier" exams afterwards, applying your gained knowledge from the harder exams and breeze through these ones.

Then ace the VCAA one in November.

Yeah I'm not doing anything the day before. Primarily because I have Bio on Thirsday, and I'm coming home to rest from that haha!
