I'm not sure if you understood my issue. I did that today and failed miserably because I struggled to write another essay immediately after the first one, despite the fact that I finished the first essay in time. I know I need to practice, but it was so draining that I'm dreading my next attempt.

Keep an open mind and don't expect the best every time. Don't worry if you fail, it's how you come back for the next attempt that matters most whilst practicing. You'll get better as you keep at it :)

I hope so. My parents were yelling at me today for studying too much again, but I can't help myself, especially when something like this happens. I might give English a day's rest and I'll give it another go. :)

Werdna covered what I would have in my earlier post. Psychologically, too, it's good to LNOW he exam can't beat you no matter what happens (saved me x100).
Stick, try get your timing down to 50-55 minutes (this is a real race) but keep the quality the same. (Or, get up to a 9/10 standard, then decrease the time)... Once you've done that, psych yourself up for two essays consecutively in two hours. Think of it like SAC prep, just a bit harder. Really psych yourself up, think of it like a challenge at the start of the two hours and COMMIT. Have some low-GI foods for brekky, have water during the exam, maybe an apple beforehand for a sugar spike, get PUMPED. Then do the double-essay. Do that successfully once or twice, then consider *optional step* doing a double essay + one-two hours break -> third essay. If after you can write te double-essay, and you want to skip the aforementioned step, get yourself super psyched and well-fed etc (consider it like an athletic event; you might consider water-loading te nigt befor. Not for any practical benefit, but to get you in the mindset of success), then attempt your full exam.

(Just for Stick, people; this is just a plan I devised for this particular issue)

I'm not entirely sure what you're struggling with - if you are "studying too much again" yet find it hard to finish the exam, you're most likely not studying properly nor using your time wisely to prepare.

Also just something I have noticed - sometimes you seem slightly too 'modest', so your questions make it seem like you're asking questions just for the sake of it, and it seems like you know the answer already.

I don't know... Your 'weaknesses' seem illegitimate. Eg 'I'm struggling badly in analysis..' Nek minnut you get full marks.. When you knew you were doing just fine..

If you look back at some of your other threads, you'll notice that you backtrack a lot. Sorta like you're saying 'I knew that already'. I genuinely don't think that you don't know what to do to prepare for English. And even if you don't know - ask yourself what you think before seeking confirmation, and secondly use the search bar.

My issue was that I can't write three essays in a row - I'm not having trouble writing one good essay in one hour. I wanted help to see how I could get used to writing one essay directly after the other. That's why it looks like I got frustrated and backtracked, since that particular issue wasn't being addressed until Brenden made that suggestion to build up to three essays over time. I felt as if I needed to repeat myself over and over to get to that point though.

I'm sorry I didn't make myself more clear. :(

Fair enough, but for the most part, I don't like how you put yourself out as someone who is of high intelligence (and you are), then really amplify and dwell on your weaknesses, to only then go nuts about your perfect scores & how you shouldn't have worried etc. It seems like hidden cockiness, making people feel like you're doing badly when you know you're not... only to hit them with your scores. Like I said before, out of all people, I am sure you know how to prepare for the exam.

No need to be sorry Stick - apologies if my words were too harsh! All in all, I think you're a smart kid and don't need to or shouldn't worry too much - you will get there in the end.

The other thing to consider is eating a big breakfast with high GI foods so you have energy throughout the exam! :)
