1. Does Emotional intelligence count as a skill on the exam or is it better to go with the main ones. i.e. communication, team leadership
2. Is effective management needed for the exam? i.e. top 10 strategies to be an effective boss and assessing manager effectiveness (Study Design very vaguely mentions effective management)

1. Yes, of course you can mention that. Personally, I'd rather stick to the main ones, but you will not be penalised for identifying emotional intelligence. Your textbook only mentions a few skills out of the many you can choose. You're not limited to the skills in your textbook, same concept applies to performance indicators.

2. Yes, double yes. It's not likely to come up, but there is a chance it could be there. It'd probably be an evaluate/analyse question.

not that you should follow what im doing, but ive done pretty much every exam there is on the vcaa, and so far i have not seen one talking about (EQ), most commonly you will be asked to either state negotiation, delegation, communication, time management, furthermore just a tip last years exam 20 marks on change management, therefore this years exam may have more marks on change management, so i suggest you learn them, but also know how to apply them. You cannot just say Communication is the process of transmitting information to another party lol, im not even sure i know what the skill is.
