[FURTHER] Marks for a 50

Hey guys,

So I was just curious, what kind of exam scores do you need to get a 50? I know there's the whole schools SACs and scaling and variation from year to year, but a rough estimate would be appreciated. I heard that you can maybe afford to lose like 2 marks maximum, is that true? Thanks!

Merged and moved your threads to Victorian Technical Score Discussion. In case it's not clear, he's asking what marks you need for a 50 in Further and IT Software Dev.

I don't know the answer to the question, but it seems the safest option to me is to just aim to get all the marks you can rather than go into the exam with the mindset that you can have a few marks you can drop.

well  my teacher said that about  2-3 marks is like one point off your study score, though I know someone who lost 1 point on an exam and ended up with a score of 49. Though anything is possible especially since the exam is worth 66%ish

Like the others have said above, you pretty much need perfect scores. I lost 3.5 marks over the two exams and got a 46 (with full scaled SAC marks)

I thought half marks were not appointed?

Second exam I got 115/120, one of the assessors must have awarded me a mark and the other didn't for one of my answers

For Further generally 1 mark.
For SD, it's difficult to estimate, but I strongly believe that you could lose up to 5 marks. There is no way that 76 of the A+ students could have aced the exam, it's difficult to full mark.

I dropped 1 mark on the first Further exam and I would imagine 0-2 on the second exam. I didn't have a spectacular rank, though.

Best of luck!
