Favourite section?

What is your most preferred section?
In order mine are: LA,Text,Context.

I find LA to be the most consistent in terms of difficulty. You can't really get screwed over because you'll always find at least 10 things to analyse if you have prepared well.. opposed to context or LA if you're not familiar with the prompt/topic you may experience difficulties.

That would be my preferred order too. The order of LA/Text switches around though.
This is primarily because I can figure out my own rubric for both sections, but context is just a whole new philosophical world.

I don't think many would like context as their preferred section, unless they have a strong grasp of historical knowledge. At least, in my point of view o-o

My favourite is definitely, hands down, text response. I think its because I love the text so much and thus so I actually enjoy writing essays on it :)

Then context because there's always a way to fudge in the worst case scenario and make something up :P And I do expositories, so I generally recycle the same references and just mould them to fit my idea :)

Eugh, I really cannot stand language analysis though.. I score the same in it as my other 2 sections but its just so tedious and annoying and I really cannot stand it. Like you'll never see me willingly write an essay on it - the only essays (apart from SACs and trial exams) I've written on LA are what our teacher has assigned us but otherwise I have zero motivation to write on language analysis. I think that's another reason why I prefer doing it first in exams - because of the satisfaction I get in not having to write on it later haha :P

I love Language Analysis, then Text Response and and lastly Context.

I'm not a big fan of Context at all, because it is risky if your Examiner doesn't know what your piece is about without a Statement of Intention/Written Explanation, then you get severely marked down, especially if its a Creative piece. My teacher said that my creative piece can easily be understood without a Written Explanation, but it could be a different story to that of my 2 Examiners. =/

I might be the only one here, but I loved context. From reading time, I had a clear idea of what I wanted to write in the Context section, so when I got to it, it was kind of a break between LA and text response (which felt like a bit of a slog). I've always enjoyed creative writing, so it was fun to chill out for a bit and write a short story of sorts :)

Context is so much fun! You get to write about whatever you want! I also love text responses, but the extent to which text response is enjoyable can depend on the text too.

LA is a bit of a chore, but it can be fun.

Context was my favourite towards the beginning of the year but you kinda develop a routine with your essays when you write expositories, so it isn't as interesting. Fair enough if you're writing creative though :)
And I agree - language analysis really does feel like a chore :\

Hmm I'd say overall I prefer to STUDY for TR most because I love Twelve Angry Men, but in terms of actually writing the pieces:
LA>context>TR
I find language analysis quite soothing? I don't know, I just like to analyse the crap out of other people and I find it flows quite naturally.
I HATEEEEEEEED context at the start of the year, but I've finally worked out a structure (persuasive feature article type thing) which works really well and I can manipulate to almost any prompt. Again, I find I'm able to write these pieces without too much of an issue pertaining to flow.
I seem to never phrase things right/ have unfocused body paragraphs, etc for text response which is really annoying because I love 12AM so much!

In order, I prefer Text Response, Context and Language Analysis.

Text Response usually seems to have a general train of ideas, and the topic is usually based on characters, themes etc. and you can't go wrong there if you know your text.

Context (Identity and Belonging) is quite easy to comprehend as its an issue faced by majority of individuals, and can become easy to relate to in any way in my opinion.

Language Analysis is my worst enemy, so that is all :P

I love all sections equally, but some more equal than others.

Nah. Studying for text response was the best (12AM waddddduppp!), and yeah there was only ever writing on ULP instead of traditional 'study', and that was fun, and I never really did much for context, but writing emotionally manipulative stories was pretty cool. So they were all pretty sweet to write on, however -

Don't shoot me but I really like context:) Then LA and text are probably about equal. Probably LA a bit more actually. I kind of get a little bit bored with the text after writing so many essays... LA is gets a little repetitive too but at least you are presented with a different article each time:)
