So um my last three words were in another language...

Well I was at the end of the final essay, my text response which i pumped out in like 40 minutes god help me but anyway. I was writing like a rocket and my writing was getting less and less legible, until they said pens down when I had three words to go "must accept death." In  about 1 second I wrote the three words, and threw my pen down. I looked at them and you could not make them out, even as I strained my eyes to possibly make out the words, I knew if someone was to read this theyd have to get some hieroglyph reader to to make it out because it clearly had no form that looked like it was in english. I thought if I had spent one extra second rewriting it, it would have been ok, but I was too scared to pick up the pen when the monitor was coming my way and i didnt know what the repercussions of writing an extra few seconds would be. So i just stared at my page and bawled my eyes out because a successful final sentence was so close, but literally so far away xD just for three little words! a few seconds! that made the sentence sound final and awesome. sighhhhh what will happen to me ;A; they will scrutinize it and scrutinize it until they start to hate it and mark me down for it i bet :(

They'll read your intro, your first two paragraphs and think "damn this is like a 10/10, dat Priam" then read your third and have it confirmed, and then they'll read your conc and be like "damn, dat hieroglyphics. Still dat dere 10/10"

they will never know that the most important part of the story is that ultimately one must accept death.

They'll have pretty much have decided your mark before the conclusion  Miss derpy. You probably had a ten in the bag when they read your brilliant -  no, scintillating -  introduction. :)

sticking out is bad when its not for a good reason xD its gets passed onto too many people then your likelihood of getting a good mark is reduced :(

hahaha good on her.
VCAA seems to be pretty nice with all this stuff, but essay after essay my own teacher after 20 practise essays was still reluctant to give me 10's and she was a marker, maybe it was to make me work harder. Hopefully I did good enough :)
And good on you for supporting everyone through their experience of this exam stuff xD it's good there's people around to reassure us we're not totally noob. xD

Will save everyone the time:
Spoiler

On a more serious note, OP (and PB), it should be fine, it happens a lot, and I'm sure the examiners will be kind.

Happened to me too! I was rewriting some messy words and when I was rereading my inclusive language analysis I noticed that I spelt "we" like "ioue", it was incredibly messy! The examiner said "pens down the examination is over" and I was reluctant about picking up my pen. I was so close but I didn't want to risk it. You're lucky you didn't pick up your pen I reckon!

I extremely doubt that they would penalize you for three ineligible words. By that point, they have the general idea of what you're talking about. Don't worry about it.
