I don't do bio, but I *acquired* a copy of the exam from today. Do people want me to scan it and post it up?

Oh my goodness. I can't believe I've forgotten this.

I just realised that many of you guys are the accelerated peeps from Year 11 and that this was your first ever real VCAA exam. How was the experience? Were you particularly nervous beforehand?

This isn't what I wrote exactly, I explained that the gene hadn't yet been 'switched on' so there would be no autoantibodies present. Nonetheless, the faulty allele is still present and detectable by a genetic screen test.

I think it was a pretty easy exam. I did five unit 3 and 4 TSSM exam papers which had units 3 and 4 together and I found the questions much more difficult.

All I know that I got one question incorrect so far. The one in section B where you had to indicate the amount of chromosomes. The answer was 20 and 40 but I put 20 and 20 without realising that the last one was 'fertilised'.

I also accidentally signed my multiple choice sheet with pen, so will anything happen with that? I panicked so much because of it ugh.

Hopefully it doesn't change anything. I called VCAA just then and they said they'll still scan my answers.

What did you guys write about why the genetic screening was positive??I was completely stumped by this question :(

I wrote that onsets for the autoimmune disease occur at a later stage, and so specific autoantibodies had not been produced yet. However, the genetic test was poditive because the setvof genetic instructions that code for the autoantibodies are present in her genetic material.

It was good :) so glad it's over!
