Why would you need 30? Are you an esl student? Text response is important part of the exam (40%) onthe other hand you can get an A in section C if you wrote a decent essay only 2 pages long. My scores were A+, A and A..i got 39...this was for ESL though.

If I didn't finish section C ,left 2 tech to analyse , will I drop a lot of marks? Do the sacs scale btw for a strong cohort ?

Edit: can I still apply for anu courses? When is the closing date though

in lang analysis, your not expected to analyse EVERY technique. that would be really unfair. depends on how much you left. I've heard of people getting 7s in lang analysis without a conclusion, so....

in regards to your anu query, check this link out. But try keeping on topic :) http://www.uac.edu.au/undergraduate/

Thanks   but ESL students are not meant to write a conclusion . 3 or 4 paragraph is sufficient.  Im just curious if they will have a bad impression before even marking when they realized i didn't finish it.

It's not about how many techniques you could analyse but it's about how you justify each technique...

I would say my exam wasn't as good as my sacs..I used to prepare for my sacs beforehand so that's the difference with the exam...one of my practice sacs questions was 95% similar to the exam so I already knew what to write...for context, I was just idly looking at the paper..just made up a personal blog, sharing my experiences etc...I got an A for context but I was quiet surprised...because if you compare that essay with my sacs..it's isn't as good..I wrote only 2 pages for section C and got an A as well...30-39 isn't that hard to get if you're just above the average student..39+ requires not only linguistic knowledge but also a wide range of ideas and presenting them

Hmhh I see what u mean but I mean I didn't finish my 3rd paragraph because I only wrote down the 3rd argument and didn't analyse 2 techniques for it. Sorry if I misleaded u at first :)

hmhh sounds easy. That seems like I have some hope in getting 30 then . how many pages did u write for context and text? So did u actually made up a story for context on the spot?

I can't remember..I think I wrote 4 and half pages for text response and 3 and half pages for context...I made a personal blog for context..my personal experiences were pretty much related to the topic..I also used couple of examples from the book..
