Who knows, last year for exam 2 it was 123/160 while it was like 146/160 for a few years before that

I hope they make it hard this year, the lower the A+ cutoff the better.

I actually want a challenging exam 1 for once

Same here! :D

Before, I hated Methods, but now I actually like it. Hope we get a hard Exam 1 and 2. :D

WOW! Thank you very much for posting that.

EDIT: The A+ cutoff has never been between 150-160 for Exam 2 - Lowest was 144. And in fact, it was very low last year as well. Hopefully the class of 2013 breaks the record. :P

Interesting how the Average A+ Cutoff for Spesh is significantly higher than Methods.

Possibly due to less students? ???

Yep and the quality of students is a lot higher

Hence why if you get 40 for spesh that's better than getting 50 for methods.
(40 scaled to 51 last year)

Good point - Forgot about the Scaling bit. :P

WOW! If you get 50 (Raw) in Methods, it doesn't Scale up?  :o

Spesh exams are also typically easier - having learnt the content - than Methods exams.

Subjects only scale about 50 if the mean plus twice the standard deviation of their scaled distribution (what you see on the scaling report) is 50 or above. Assuming a standard deviation of seven, the mean of all the scaled scores of all methods students in their other subjects would need to be 36 - it's close, but not quite there. Keep in mind five is added to the mean scaled score of languages.

Ohh okay. Fair enough. That makes sense.

Thanks. :)

What SS would I get if I'm ranked 3rd with 90% SACS and get A+ on both exams but 1st and 2nd rank get C?

1st and 2nd get a C? Hmm... you would probably get a 49. :)

WOW! Really!? I was told that if the students ranked infront of you end up getting higher than them, then it will bring your study score down?
