Just wondering if we're allowed to bring batteries into the exam, I have this paranoid feeling that my batteries might die even though they're new but because I bought them ages ago haha

Yes, you're allowed, and I'd highly recommend bringing them in mainly for peace of mind.

If it's not an ideal battery and is rechargeable  it will lose its capacitance (stored charges) after a while...what the hell am I talking about? Just have spare batteries just in case
