So do you think the cutoff for a 50 will be a 117 or a 118?

By 117 or 118, do you mean the total of the raw scores for Exam 1 and Exam 2?
Normally, VCAA doubles your Exam 1 and Exam 2 scores (so they are out of 80 and 160 respectively).
But, I dunno. I think full marks for both exams was achievable, so 119+ is a 50 (as in previous years). Perhaps 118 (117 - I'd say is a 48(conservatively)-49) will be a 50 this year.

Just did that exam under time conditions...... Finished comfortably with 30 minutes to spare. It was so easy! Woo! Go me 80/80.
