There was a complex number question where we had to convert from Cartesian to polar and give solutions. There will almost definitely be a complex regions question.

Is there any tricks to be aware of with complex regions? most just seem like "shade the region" or "find the area".

Complex numbers were completely underrepresented on exam 1, no DEs (aside from the motion one but that doesn't really count) and hardly any non-polynomial integration so I'm calling those three to be the predominant topics on section 2. Basically exam 2 2011.

Know your cSolves and deSolves people.

What do these do again? They sound familiar so maybe i'm just being a potato

cSolve will solve your equation over C
deSolve solves any differential equation they can throw at you 100% of the time... like deSolve(y' = x^2 and y(0) = 1, x, y)

Guys holy fuck on VCAA 2014 Exam 2, for multiple choice 20 (pulley system with 2 weights of 3kg and 5kg is released from rest, find velocity at 2 seconds), I did 5g - T = 5a and T - 3g = 3a, then solved for a and got a = g.

Then v = u + at, so v = 0 + g(2), so v = 2g m/s

BUT THE ANSWERS SAY g/2? AND iTute says 5g - 3g = 19.6N, WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT MEAN!? SORRY FOR CAPS I'M FUCKEN PANICKING
5g - 3g = 8a, so a = g/4
v = g/4 * 2 = 4.9 m/s

Hangon, my list of gaming experience includes Pokemon, Minecraft, Mario, and Wii Sports; I have no idea what 'Pk' means ;)

But would be great to try Runescape though- I remember doing the tutorial way back when!

Are you guys doing a teamspeak/skype while playing?
