Now that I think about it, I would've studied the shit out of one section for revolution a and one section for revolution b. Eg for Russia I should've studied for 1905-1917 only, rather than both AOS's. Try to decide which rev aos you want to do for each rev you do, that way you only have to study for half as much and can become an expert on one aos. Ie you might not be good at 1917 onwards for russia, but that won't matter because you've chosen not to do that in the exam, and instead you've smashed out the other option for the paper. Just spam out the prac essays, response pieces, memorize historian perspectives etc etc

Yeah thats what i have done, my teacher thinks im screwed though. She thinks im sabotaging my class sacs marks because im doing that, im rank 1 and she keeps telling me ill do shit if i prepare one sided lol. We got taught do prepare for both, but its so time consuming, i got other subjects. Im praying for a source analysis that isnt obscure  ::) ::)

Really started feeling gutted today about spesh. Too many marks lost on exam 1 because of stupid mistakes to just shrug off. It was a hauntingly similar post-exam experience to my methods exam 1.

You can revise all you want and know the content inside out and do enough practice exams to think nothing is going to stop you, but at the end of the day when you're in that room and your hands are trembling and the time pressure is stabbing you in the back with each idling second, interfering with your thoughts as you absent mindedly write 5*2+2 = 20 because your mind somehow thought that + was a *, you may as well have written nothing at all.

10/10 can relate. One of the worst feelings.

Probably because there were never any situations where our ancestors needed to do higher order thinking under immense time pressure.

For Physics, instead of going through questions and assorting them with a particular technique or method to solve them (as some people mindlessly do) try to conceptually understand the question and why that particular method is being applied to the question to solve it. VCE Physics, especially motion, uses a lot of everyday physics as well so try to apply your everyday knowledge as well to gain a new perspective on solving a question (e.g. think about the forces and pulls you might actually experience on a roller coaster ride or whilst going over a hill on a car and then perhaps try to link this to the knowledge you've gained through the course)

For Physics in general (higher Physics), yes. However, for VCE Physics, I'd have to say you should do exactly that. VCE Physics, is a repetitive and predictable subject. With practice, and heaps of questions under your best, understanding will come. There is only 3 days left till our exam, I don't think understanding is the way to go anymore. Just put heaps of questions on your summary sheet.

Spesh students - I only have time left between now and the exam for 2 more practice exams. I've haven't done VCAA 2012, VCAA 2013 and VCAA 2014 (Exam 2's), which two of the three are the best? I'm weaker at differential equations, mechanics and vectors, so I need more practice in those areas. Thanks in advance :)

2014: has lots of vectors, easy mechanics question though, very simple.
2013: extremely hard (my opinion) mechanics question + vector calc (combined)

2014 is way too easy, theres no way this years exam will reflect that, so do 2013 and 2012

If you're out of time, don't do full practice exams and tire yourself out before the actual exam. Go and do select vector questions from checkpoints or whatever resource you have to work on your weaknesses :)

Complex numbers were completely underrepresented on exam 1, no DEs (aside from the motion one but that doesn't really count) and hardly any non-polynomial integration so I'm calling those three to be the predominant topics on section 2. Basically exam 2 2011.

There was a complex number question where we had to convert from Cartesian to polar and give solutions. There will almost definitely be a complex regions question.
