Out of all the workshops, I really enjoyed the impromptu speaking one (really good since it charged me up since it was a long day)... notebook was nice and meeting new people (as well as catching up with others) was good too xD How did you find it? c:

And @cooldude123/Splash-Tackle-Flail, should convene for meetup in a fortnight if you guys can!

I thought it was pretty fun- kinda inspiring too!! I was the oddball who said "we like fish" for the introduction part if that helps you find out who I am :P (also came in late but ehhhhhhh....)

100% on the meet-up! (or you could totally join cool dude and I in kickboxing on tuesdays!)

A solid 8 hahah

Obviously a master would be a perfect 10. ???

I spent today studying the masters of clutch, and they all wouldn't hesitate to say they were 10s in the clutch game.

Thought I'd necro and bring this thread up to ask (now that exams are officially over LOL):
"How'd you enjoy your first year of uni? Better or worse than high school?"

HEYY  :D
Much better than high school in the sense of broader social circles and not having to be stuck in the the vacuum of the 'selective school mentality/label' (and being continually defined by it). The main downside is the lack of structure, not in the spoonfeeding sense but the lectures and tutes could be utilized in a more productive manner.

Oh yeah being stuck in the selective school label is definitely better imo though I like the lack of structure since freedom is good (I think specialised courses like Biomed probably offer more structure than Science/Commerce so that's something too) but definitely agree lectures and tutes could be utilised better >.<

unpopular opinion but worse lol?

don't get me wrong, the quality of teaching I've experienced thus far at uom is unparalleled, but I find having an irregular schedule a bit shitty and I sort of miss having teachers that know me and my individual needs. I know you can talk to tutors etc and some are nice but it's not the same

was never spoon fed at school so uni is alright in that respect as I'm used to teaching myself things

99.90 pls
