Yep. I can't conceive of any reason someone wouldn't do a Year 12 subject in Year 11.

Some people just don't have the maturity to do one i.e. it would stress them out to much. I know a couple of people like that who wanted to experience 1/2's before 3/4's.

Absolutely! You got literally nothing to lose. Its at least 10% EXTRA onto your ATAR.

It's great in year 11 for sure!

In year 12, you can argue or not whether it might be a waste of time. You work just as hard as every other subject but you only get 10% of the reward. Say you spend a lot of time working hard and get 40 instead of 30 for your bottom subject. That represents a change of 3.0->4.0 contribution to your aggregate. It's literally a change of 1. If you worked slightly harder in each of your top four, you could easily add .25 (if this is even really possible) of an aggregate each to them and have it add up to 1. Even more likely add +1 to each of your subjects and raise your aggregate by 4 instead of 1.

If you are in year 10 right now, DO A 3/4 SUBJECT IN YEAR 11.

I really regret not doing one.

Well and truly. Everyone that didn't do a 3/4 earlier at my school was freaking out about exams, I was like, 'been there, done that!'

Agreed, if you can do a 3/4 or two in year 11 go for it. It reduces your year 12 load and whilst in year 11 you can focus primarily on them.

What a keen bean.

But seriously, not need to burn yourself out so early. You'll get sick of vce by the time you get to yr 12.
