Sorry I didn't ask my question correctly
Basically, I just didn't know if I was doing it correctly that's all! Because I have researched a lot of information about my topic and have organized it a bit and wrote some sentences, but I haven't picked out 3 resources or anything. I'm mainly confused about the resources part. Like I know you need 3 resources, but can the examiners questions only come from those 3 resources? (I sound so dumb lol)
Sorry! I didn't realise you replied to my post until now and posted in your other thread. I'll just respond to the other half here.
The examiner's questions will definitely revolve around your resources, but they will also relate to your topic itself, I think. You might know a little bit more about me here having done CSL already, but I think they can also ask more general questions such as "What was the most interesting thing you learned about your detailed study?" or something to that effect. You don't sound dumb, don't worry.
By the way, for your written exam which writing style are you gonna do? I think imaginative is the best because you can be creative and free but then again sometimes the topic doesn't suit so I don't know if I should be preparing for other text types or just imaginative.
Imaginative is definitely a good option! It's appeared in virtually every practice exam that I've read. I've trialled with it before but I wasn't amazing at it. I don't think I'm very good at being creative on the spot in exam conditions. I prefer a more mechanical approach to writing in German so narratives don't suit me too much.
I'm probably best at evaluative/argumentative prompts or those that involve a simple personal letter. I find these the easiest as you can build a solid structure for yourself to follow. I also quite like doing speeches if they're available. I find that styles in which you can carry over common phrases are usually the best, as they can build up confidence if you know a sentence is definitely correct.
Which sentence of the written exam do you find hardest/easiest, btw? I personally struggle with the listening and responding in German section, but I find reading and the essay a lot easier by comparison.
