Hey guys,
I'm just confused as to what the best way to study for the exam is? Should I:
Go over the 5 chapters are make little summaries before doing practice exams or should I just do practice exams and not worry about making summaries since it might be a waste of time?
Thanks for any help! :)

You're in a similar situation as I am as I'm not really sure about the best way to study is for me in particular and if you haven't started studying, it is quite late but due to the nature of the subject you should have plenty of time to get a decent mark which isn't too dissimilar to my approach to this exam. What I did each AOS (in which you are referring to as chapters) is I made a study summary so I knew everything I had to know in a single document and I spent quite a while getting each definition onto a powerpoint slide all alone, bolding key terms in each definition, adding pictures to interlink with the key terms and put some colour into it. To be honest for all those hours of work I spent into doing that, I wouldn't say was at all effective but it could be difference as to each their own and if you want I can send you them.

What I am doing now is just ensuring I know the content by writing down definitions within each AOS and all those comes along with those AOS's and ensuring I know all the content. I wouldn't say it is studying 'effectively,' as it takes a very long time to do depending on your capabilities but it has worked for me despite the amount of time I have put into studying and I know about 85% of the content to a high level. If you have no idea how you learn or study best, I would start off with doing this until you plan some regimented study design for next year (I'm guessing you will be in year 12 next year) or in the holidays as to test out how you learn and remember best.

Sorry I wasn't much help as I'm in a similar situation, but all I can say is ensure you know all the content and apply it to a few practice exams and you should be fine.

Thanks for your reply! I'm in year 12 and preparing for Thursday's exam! I have studied all year for my SACS so I know most of the content but I just have a pretty bad memory so that's why I asked the question haha!
If you could send me that notes power point that'd be great, appreciate it!
So I'm guessing just getting a recap of the concepts is more important right now and then get into some practice exams say tomorrow or the day after?

I would suggest a lot of exam-style questions and try to revise over notes thoroughly and know your definitions!

If you struggle to remember content, i'd suggest (not only for business but for all of your subjects) to create posters of certain topics in your own words (e.g. the planning process). This would assist you into both relearning the content as well as remembering as you would view them constantly. You could also colour code them if you're more of a visual learner.

Best way to memorise content:
- Is actually not to 'memorise'. Don't act like "oh ok, the autocratic management style uses a centralised system of decision making and communication". Actually understand it. When you understand something, you'll learn actually learn it. Memorising lasts for a short duration where as learning is a permanent change in a persons behaviour (thanks P.E, I memorised learned that over 36 months ago).
