So, are you guys planning to get your results through SMS?

Just curious. I'm not sure whether I want that kind of news hitting me first thing in the morning on the 16th.
For those of you who received your ATARs this way last year, I'm curious to know how the message was actually formatted?
I'm hoping its not just something cold like 'Congratulations student 1234567B! You got an ATAR of xx.xx'

Yeah I'm getting a text. The website will probably crash that day & I'm not waiting for mail

I much prefer to be in control, rather than waiting for a message to be sent to me, so I'll be looking up my results online. Last year, I kept spamming the refresh button and I got access to my results at 6:51am (don't ask me how I remember ) and the website didn't crash. What I did though was get my results via text the next day as a memento.

I got a new phone this year, so I don't exactly have the message, plus I only did one subject - Further. It tells you the Subject code (which was strange), then the Raw SS, then the 3 GA Grades (A+, A, B+, B, etc). From memory that was all that the message said for the one subject. Probably says the ATAR as well if I had 5 subjects.

Yesterday, I registered for this year as well.

Yeah, all your results including from the GAT come in the mail. The letter will arrive a day or two after results are released online/from a text though.

I would love to find out my results in the mail... so much more fun to open and a lot of scary.

Does your school have your VTAC Number and password? Because I don't know mine...

Why would you do an all-nighter? They get published on the website at 7 am on December 16. Just wake up early.

Yeah, your school would have those details. However, your VTAC Number is just your VCAA Number. You know those Place Cards you get at Exams, its the number on there.

Last year I planned to just sleep in too but Herald Sun messed up and put up the scores, and I got messages at 2AM from friends saying OMG YOU GOT etc. etc... Hahaha
