I used the Heinemann Physics 11 book because it was specified by the school. It's a decent book, for the most part, but some chapters are worded so badly that I had to rewrite them in my own words to comprehend. Notably, this was the Electricity chapter...

Cambridge Checkpoints were really helpful too, as many of the test questions were essentially slightly modified Checkpoints questions.
Have a look at the VCAA study design and pick resources, even if it be non-specific to VCE there will be content you can cherry pick to give you a broader depth of knowledge.
