I was just wondering that do we get accepted into uni on our raw scores or scaled??
The study scores listed for university prerequisites are raw, which I think is what you're asking. Your ATAR is calculated with your scaled scores.

Oh, and I'm giving Brenden almost full credit for my English score!

Same! Without Brenden, I probably would've missed the 25 study score cutoff for my dream uni course.
2012 ATAR - 86.75
2013 ATAR - 88.50

Hi, does anyone know what a 48 in methods scales to exactly?
(I'm in year 11, so can't check exact scaling)
51+

(A 45 scaled to 50 and a 50 scaled to a 52)

Your results will come in the mail. You'll get a Statement of Results from VCAA which will list all the VCE (units 1/2/3/4) you've taken and your raw study scores and your GAT scores. There's also a VCE certificate, which, don't quote me on this, but I think your school will receive and get to you somehow (likely via mail). You'll also get a letter from VTAC which will have your ATAR statement, which has your ATAR and scaled scores on it.

If you wanted detailed exam marks and all that, you can order Statement of Study Scores (which tells you stuff about your graded assessments) and Statement of Marks (which tells you what marks you got for each question on an exam) - the forms are on the VCAA website. In most cases I don't think it's worth bothering with those.

The site said I got a study score of 43 for biology, does that mean I'll be scaled to 44? Or is 43 my scaled score?

That is your raw score (43) so it will be scaled to 44.

Not until next year, they usually don't start getting published until late Feb/March-ish (and will trickle out subject by subject)

Thank you very much, looking forward to see how others went on certain questions - and what the examiners deemed to be the correct answer, clearing up all the discussion across these boards  ;D

Hey guys I am quite depressed with my results, I really messed my year up, always was one of the smartest from year 7 - year 11, but I do not know what happened. Next year I really wanna focus and get my things together again I have always looked at my course as Civil Engineering, I would really like to know what oppurtunities I have with an atar of 59.5. I received 25 in english, 24 in methods, 23 in chem and 27 in physics. I really want to make the most and best of my future, I really wanted to get into Deakin but as I am not sure if it possible for me now as it required 61.95. I really dont know what happened to me, I think i really just flunked my exams, as I did quite well in all sacs all year (besides english, was never my best friend).
Victoria University's Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) might be an option. It requires a study score of 20 in Mathematical Methods rather than the 25 which most other universities will require. I am currently unsure of the ATAR clearly-in requirement, sorry.
