MD GPA question.

I'm currently averaging H2Bs/H2As and wondering if it will be competitive enough (GPA calculator estimate is anywhere between 6-6.5 depending on how I do in 3rd year).

Bel where did you find the GPA calculator?

Also, I found this extremely interesting/helpful calculation made by a person on pagingdoctor. I take absolutely no credit for this, someone else extracted the minimum scores required for entry into medicine at each uni.

To calculate your score, you do GPA/7 + GAMSAT/100.

Just with this, how would you factor an interview score in to it for melb uni for example?

I think these are just the minimum scores required for an interview at Melbourne in 2013.

Bel where did you find the GPA calculator?

There are a bunch floating around the internet, they're mostly just excel spreadsheets with the weighting programmed in. The only official GPA calculator you can use is emailing GEMSAS to ask for your GPA after you submit your application.

A GPA of 6-6.5 is a fairly broad range and where I'd expect most candidates to have their marks. I guess that makes you competitive but reliant on a good GAMSAT and interview to be especially so.
