Best way to transfer to commerce at monash?

Hi there guys, I didn't get the score i needed to get into commerce at Monash, so I'm left with the options of either:

Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin or Bachelor of Business at Monash Caulfield.

I don't have much knowledge regarding these areas, so any input about which course i should take will help, thanks!

What do you plan on majoring?

If it's Accounting, Marketing or Management - then either is fine; so I'd go with Monash B.Bus (because it will be the same as a B.Comm)
If it's a more quantitative based major - Economics, Finance, Econometrics or Actuarial Science; then I'd go with Deakin's B.Comm (because it'll provide a more quantitative grounding than a B.Bus)

I plan on majoring in Accounting and banking finance or finance. Does that mean business at caulfield is the best choice? Also, if the worst scenario occurs and i can't get into bachelor of business at caulfield, and i choose accounting and finance at deakin, is that sufficient for me to transfer into second year bcomm at monash? hey mate, my ATAR is below standard for that as well unfortunately, as that was my second preference.

My preferences as they stand are currently:

1) Bcomm @ Monash
2) Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and Bachelor of Business (Banking and Finance)
3) Bcomm @ Deakin **or** Bachelor of Business at Caulfield.

I was thinking put Bcomm as first just incase i may slip through, but yeah, still unsure on my third preference.

If you have SEAS your best bet is something @ Monash/RMIT. Monash and Melb uni's commerce faculties are internationally recognised while Deakin's is not. That being said, RMIT's city location did appeal to me so I put it on my preference list.

I don't really mind about facilities as long as it gives me the best chance of transferring into second year Bcomm @ monash in 2015. I've heard that Deakin is really good with internships, etc as well, but that doesn't really matter if i transfer anyways.

I guess my main question is whether doing BCOMM at Deakin enhances my chances of transferring as opposed to Business at caulfield. Sorry if i'm blabbing mate. Cheers in advance.

I would imagine internal transfers are easier than external transfers..

yeah you're probably right. Have you heard of PBL ( Problem Based Learning )? It's still Business at Monash but its more practical based than your normal lectures apparently.

Yeah they applied and got in. I think it's not too difficult as I was thinking about it first sem with a wam of 70.000 and the course adviser said I'd probably get in. But I can't be bothered doing a methods bridging course, hate maths lol

Go fo BBus, my friend was in BBus and recently got transfer to BComm.
