Hi

I'm new with these courses, bit i still confused..
Does bachelor of science mean you get 2 degrees when you are also majoring in something else?
Or is it just the course you majored in?
A bit skeptical for 3 years.

You go through a three-year degree and do a single (you can rig the system to fit in a double major, but only one is officially recognised on the final transcript) major + lots of complementary subjects; the major is comprised of four third-year subjects and will obviously include some prerequisites in first and second year (unless it's Neuroscience!). Ordinarily you take 24 subjects over three years, including 4-6 outside your faculty. Taking a concurrent diploma (a separate qualification) will add between 4 and 8 subjects to your total study :) At the end of all this, you will receive a SINGLE degree qualification.

A bachelor of science is a single degree, you only get one. You can a few specialisations or majors within it but you still only get one degree. University of Melbourne currently doesn't offer dual degrees like some other universities do (you however can take a diploma alongside). If its a dual degree it would be something like Bachelor of Arts AND Bachelor of Science. Here's an example Monash one that might help you form the concept in your mind.
