woah there fella,
I'm pretty sure ATP is produced in the light-dependant reactions of photosynthesis, in a way similar to the electron transport chain in mitochondria. The ATP is used to supply the energy for the calvin cycle, in which glucose is produced. So ATP is actually produced, it's just used to make the glucose. But I agree A is the most correct answer.
Yeah, I probably should've elaborated a bit more; basically, the main purpose of photosynthesis is to produce glucose to be used in cellular respiration. Yes, ATP
is produced in the light-dependent stage, but it is ultimately used to synthesise glucose and is
not used to fuel other cellular reactions that require energy.
