Well since Lymph Nodes tend to contain B and T cells  + other immune cells, then a swollen lymph node would indicate that 'destruction' of a harmful invader such as bacteria is occurring.

I understand this, but I came across a VCAA question that stated that swelling was actually a defence mechanism?? Isn't it just a result of leukocyte activity

Long gestation period allows for safer development/lower mortality rate. However, it uses up more energy which is a con.

Is this correct? I have a few sources saying it's anaphase I?

e.g.
http://www.biology-online.org/dictionary/Independent_assortment
http://www.answers.com/Q/When_does_independent_assortment_occur_in_meiosis
https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081216124106AAOaGfL

The chromosomes line up randomly during metaphase and separate to different poles in anaphase, so you could say its a process which begins at metaphase and finishes at anaphase
