It means that cells can change shape in response to mechanical stress or stimulation from the environment etc.

I do some TSSM, extra questions can't be a bad thing. From memory, NEAP 2008 isn't too hard

Why is the eyeless Mutation for Drosophila written E^Y+E^y. What does the "E" mean why is it not written Yy?
The sex chromosomes are labelled X,Y.

How would you demonstrate a cross between an eyeless female E^yE^y crossed with white eyed male X^yY? BTW this is from the 2013 QAT

Lol we had to cut out tiny chromosomes and arrange them into a karyotype- took like 2 hours the night before and it was worth 1 mark -_-
