What does increased fluidity (through the addition of lipids) actually mean for a cell?

It means that cells can change shape in response to mechanical stress or stimulation from the environment etc.

Not yet, I'm going to do NEAP 2008 Unit 3 tomorrow.

Anyone waste their time with TSSM or TSFX exam papers?
Anyone started VCAA exam papers?

I do some TSSM, extra questions can't be a bad thing. From memory, NEAP 2008 isn't too hard

I am having troubles understanding linked inheritance (dihybrid alleles on the same chromosome). Anyone willing to help me out a bit?

Why is the eyeless Mutation for Drosophila written EY+Ey. What does the "E" mean why is it not written Yy?
The sex chromosomes are labelled X,Y.

How would you demonstrate a cross between an eyeless female EyEy crossed with white eyed male XyY? BTW this is from the 2013 QAT

[copy/paste from notes]

EDIT: suddenly occurred to me that I'm not supposed to spoon-feed, copy-paste removed.

Instead - what is your understanding so far?  Explain what you already know or think, and what specifically you don't get!

Lol we had to cut out tiny chromosomes and arrange them into a karyotype- took like 2 hours the night before and it was worth 1 mark -_-
