Texts & Traditions 2014 Quranic Section

Hey Everyone,
I'll be doing Texts & Traditions 3&4 this year (the Quranic section)
I was wondering, do you guys have any tips to do well in the subject? I have not started studying for it as I have been focusing on my other subjects.
According to my teacher, it is too early to be familiar with the structure of an exegetical response so apart from that, how do I make notes for each section (surah)
