Deciding over further and health, could someone explain each subject and which they think is better? Thanks

Very different subjects.

Why are you thinking of undertaking each subject? What do you like?

I much preferred Health, because I found it almost infinitely more interesting and relevant to what I like, but that may be very different for you. If you provide a little more background information, perhaps we will be able to help you out a little more!  :D

All the best.

I only did Health so I can explain what it entails.

Unit 3
-Focuses on Australia's Health (Compared to others, National Health Priorities areas and Determinants of Health)
-Nutrition and How NGO and Governments focus on this
and The Australian Health System

Unit 4
-Focuses on Global and Human Development
including The MDGs and Government and Non government Organisations

I loved Health :)
I would say that it is more interesting and you can apply it to real life more than you can with other subjects :)

Hope this helps :)

^ that is a whole lot of smiley faces :O

Anyway, I can't tell you from my experience but I can tell you about my sisters experience. She did both health and further. It honestly comes down to which one you like better. My sister honestly loved health but not so much further math. But just like Joseph41 mentioned, they are very different subjects so you can't really compare them. Go with the one you think you will like more because interest plays a huge role in motivation and motivation is what you need at critical times in VCE.

I'm currently doing both for year 12, and they're both such different subjects. Personally, I prefer further maths (but still love health) because I guess I just have a mathematical mind, and I think I've always loved maths :) also in further you get your rules book, but I've heard it's harder to do extremely well in (ie. 45+) because it's all just little marks, so if you got, say, 4 questions wrong throughout the whole year on assessments, you couldn't get a 50. But, health has a lot of content you have to remember for sacs and exam, and health is more explanations, you can't just give one sentence answers, you have to explain it. So it depends on if you have a mathematical mind or prefer explaining things. I hope this helped :)
