Would i be at a big disadvantage by not doing biology in vce, when doing biomedicine (subjects such as biomolecules and cells etc ..core)??
Should i go through the biology vce course?? Do I learn everything biology 3/4 in biomed?

The data suggests that biology students and non-biol students have an equal footing coming into biomed. It'll probably be more work, but the course is easily self contained and doesn't require any background knowledge.

No, My friend did not do VCE Biology and he went extremely well. It is a lot more memorizing stuff for 1st year Biology.

It's honestly the first thing they tell you. Generally the Biol students get cocky and don't do enough work, whereas the others don't and work harder to get the same sort of scores. You'll be completely fine.

I did not do bio in vce and i did really well in bio in both semesters (it actually became my favourite subject). What T-Rav said is an opinion that I know many people held, but from experience, as long as people put in the work, they did well. The laziness comes more from the independence of uni life and not if you did bio in vce or not. I had friends who did bio in vce and they found after the first lecture or so, the course was quite different and more in depth and the prior knowledge didnt help much.

I remember the uni collected data on this and they said that non vce biology students did just as well or even better than those who did not

People who've studied VCE Bio will probably find the first 2 weeks of semester 1 and a bit of genetics in semester 2 to be just more in-depth revision, but it's not a big deal.

The thing about cocky bio students is true though. Just make sure you do the work and I guarantee you will be fine. If you don't then you will struggle. It's a pretty simple equation for every subject really
