Your first card is free I believe.

And just fair warning: You will either have a clear student card photo which looks like a monstrosity, or a blurred student card photo which looks like a few pixels. The photographers are Satan.

Can confirm the above anecdotally. In my photo my eyes somehow doubled in size and I have a pig snout.

(Those are not self-deprecating comments, those are entirely accurate comments.)

My nose looks so big in my ID picture that it could pick up satellite signals. Not to mention my eyes look like pencil lines and my hair looks like a bird colony has settled there. x.x

^ POST YOUR PHOTO THOMAS POST. I'VE NEVER SEEN YOUR NOSE LOOK LIKE A SATELLITE DISH, PLEASE

My UoM ID photo is the only ID photo of me that has ever been remotely attractive. Whenever others see it they generally state 'that doesn't look anything like you' and I don't know exactly how I feel about that.  >:(

Do we have to smile ? i'm not one to smile when a photo is being taken.. especially if i had to travel 1 hour for one.

Most identification places would have problems about you smiling in ID photos than you not smiling, so no.
