simple smoothies take <5 minutes to prep/make/clean and are probably healthier than an up and go. they're also a bit less boring since you can make different ones every morning. if you want, you can even throw it in a bottle/jar and take it with you. I'll likely be doing that for my 9am lecture this semester.
another thing you can do if youre pressed for time is make overnight oats. combine oats, mashed banana, chia seeds and milk + fruit of your choice (eg. strawberries, peach mango) in a jar and throw it in the fridge. then in the morning just grab it and go.
speaking of jars, if you have later starts but still want to sleep in and have a kind of lunchy breakfast, its super easy to make salad in a jar the night before and take it with you as well. just throw the dressing at the bottom, then fill it with chunky, hard vegetables like carrot/tomato/cucumber, then protein (quinoa, chick peas, tofu) and leafy greens go right up the top so it stays far away from the wet dressing. if you use a large jar, you'll be able to shake it up to combine when youre ready and then just eat it right away.

and storing salad in a jar is a lot better than in lunchbox because the height of the jar keeps the greens well separated from anything wet so they dont get all soggy and gross.
