Anyone know what they would talk about as their "passion" in the interview?

well my passion for the current is astrophysics so i guess i would talk about recent developments why i like it and what i want to contribute... idk aha also a tip if you guys get an interview it would probably be helpful to mention that you want to be around "like minded students" and I dont think getting interview tutor is going to help.. I mean fair enough for the maths and stuff it may have been kinda relevant cause maths is sort of generic just worded differently.. for the interview i say study yourself.. i.e. why do you want to go to JMSS and what do you have that other potential students dont...

Yeah I suppose that's the best way to go about it, being as honest as you can and really expressing your passion for science . I'm probably going to come up with a variety of hypothetical questions and practise them haha.

Sounds great Hannibal! Haha yea I guess most of us on this forum are just coming up with a variety of questions that may come up on the interview

For the interview they said late July in the letter I believe, hopefully soon! We only get our actual results back if we are successful at the end of the year, and you have to ask for them .

aw... man I guess all of us on this forum are on the same boat as you. LOL for me I usually watch like a documentary or some sort of random videos on YT to avoid myself thinking about it too much

Yes LOL Last week I dreamed that I didn't even get an interview because I got 3 low averages and something else that I don't remember....and then I woke up...Hopefully this does not happen please

Do you guys have any plans for the interviews?  Like special portfolios you're going to prepare or anything along those lines? The holidays are nearly over, but they've given me a lot of time to think about this sort of stuff, but I'm stuck on ideas... The best advice I can find is "Be Yourself", and being myself isn't at all interesting under interview circumstances.

I've had a few dreams, most of them have been bad dreams to say the least. I think it's best that I leave the fine details until after the interviews

I have had one good dream, probably one of the best dreams I've ever had. If the interview and everything goes that flawlessly, I'd be glad to write a book and make a movie about it.

I have decided to research Biomedicine: Microbiology and Immunology and talk about that lol! Really hope I do get an interview. I dont have much special things for the portfolio. Probably going to put certificates, pics of cricket trophies/medals, badges and year 7 NAPLAN results!

i have had quite a few dreams.. so nervous!!! yeah mines the same sorta compiled of swimming championships and medals and stuff and my involvement in school musicals and stuff... im trying to get some more science stuff...

Hahaha, Yea i guess pretty much all of us are pretty nervous right now, considering that the results would be released really soon. Hum... In terms of my portfolio, I guess apart form my past debating badges, principle awards from primary school, Chinese School awards and minor awards from school and certificates from other programs I joined there really isn't much.   
Hahaha, it sucks how my school never gave me my AMC award :/ received a distinction last year.
