Don't worry Shinkaze Don't forget, the 1 to 1 interview and your portfolio still counts alot so if you did well in your 1 to 1 interview and had a good report you should do fine

That is true! The group activities I think were mainly to see teamwork and how well you problem solve and interact with other students. The interview is like a "getting to know you" session to see your plans for the future and how JMSS can help. The maths is a way to see the way you think or the depth you think. Idek, that's my assumptions. All in all, the interview was kinda fun, got to see JMSS finally, that was so intriguing! Good Luck everyone!

Don't worry if you didn't do too well on the interviews, I'm sure you're still going to get in.

 Tbh, it's not the end of the world if you don't get in, you're already really far and I know you've put lots of effort in, but congratulate yourself on achieving just that, don't punish yourself. You got an interview, how awesome is that? You got further than probably 60% of other people, that's a really good effort. Just be grateful for the fact that you were able to step up and beat all of them. I think the self-accomplishment is what truly matters. To me, getting into JMSS would be what makes my life perfect , but even without it I can still have a perfect life. By praising myself and making every moment the best, I can choose to have a much more perfect and enjoyable life than if I was a JMSS student - it's all how you look at it. Look at some of the others on this forum that couldn't get into any selective schools and still got a 99.95 Atar and have been successful with their careers and dreams. The fact that you have beaten the other 60% of people who tested for an interview and failed proves to me that you are capable of doing well in life. I think even the motivation and determination to get into JMSS and by joining these forums you're already half way there.

And by ending this chapter with a fail you WILL have better chapters after it. Getting into JMSS might seem great, but failing to get in isn't that bad.

Hi guys ! I just had an interview today and it was really fun!
Everyone who was in my group was incredibly friendly and very nice and we got to know each other pretty well 
The group activities were actually more fun than what I had expected, it was really cool to see us all working with group members that we have not ever seen before, haha
The question that you had to do by yourself was not incredibly hard, you could work it out eventually but they gave you a time limit .

The one to one interview was actually not as serious as I though it'd be, haha the teacher that interviewed me was very funny lol, but I didn't really answer one of the questions well...the teacher said I didn't answer that question fully but anyways it was an terrific experience and also JMSS was soo cool and I can't believe I actually went into the school haha! I've seen it on the outside but I've never been inside before so it was really fascinating
Good luck to all of you who are doing your interviews next week!! there is actually nothing to stress about (I was stressing way too much tbh  ) just give it your best shot

Mine isn't very good, because in my science the teacher stuffed up and only did 1 assessment last semester - which i did badly in

Well when I had my interview today, the interviewer looked through all my certificates and he also looked at my report, both of them But also, during my interview I saw that he had a marking sheet for the 1 to 1 interview which probably is going to get marked so don't worry if your report or portfolio isn't as good as you want it to be. I'm sure you'll do excellent
