I really want to do Bioinformatics too! As well as quarks to quasars, that looks really interesting! :)

Yes!!! Quarks to Quasars sounds interesting!! Though, I don't really like the string theory... for some unknown reason.

So basically, if you don't get an email, you don't get in???
Do they at least send an email saying, that you were unsuccessful????

Well according to the website they say that they give a week for a student to accept the offer and if declined they give the offer to the next successful student. So I think that they won't give you an email saying you were unsuccessful as you still have chances until all paces are filled - Term 4 (- which is when we get our Edutest results. Apparently our schools already have them.) So just wait until term 4. On the 12th of September they give offers out to up to the top 200/400 students (I say 'up to' because on the website it says that it depends on how many spots they have because of the other students)... and then they go down the list of the 400 kids until all spots are filled.

:)

Sorry for being repetitive in my message guys and the unnecessary information.

When you say they give offers out to the top 200 students, what about the 3% rule then? What if a school had 6 students who were in the top 200 students and 3% is only 2 students, do they only select the top 2 students out of the 6 then?

Well I did make a post asking "how many people get in for the interview", in which people said that according to the people at JMSS they select 400 people. And my source for how many people get into the school... (i.e. half of the members that went for the interview) was the website... and its up to 200... so up to half the people who were at the interview. There's a chance it won't even be half. Great. :p

Btw, your welcome :)

Well, then as someone posted earlier, they would move onto the other people who got interviewed and give them a place instead.

I'm not 100% sure, because I never really needed to know about this... but I know that they would definitely apply the 3% rule... so I'm positive the answer is "yes".

I'm not too sure, so don't just depend on my answer and make sure you go ask someone who knows for sure (maybe IndefatigableLover on atarnotes). They'll probs select the top 2/6... and then most likely give offers out to the other four once the first batch (i.e. top 200 excluding those who didn't make it because of the 3% rule) of offers have went out....

Lol, hopefully I made sense :p

If I was going to be able to get in, I would get a second round offer because my school's enrolment is only 100 and 10 people from my school got an interview so :P

Hopefully I can get a second round offer hahaa

I think you have a high chance of getting in since your interview went well and you have a lot of achievements! Also the fact that you get good grades for maths and science! I don't think they focus much on how you do for other subjects, so I don't think your C and E+ would affect much, since your report is actually really good :)

Yeah I reckon you will make it, they would only skim through your report so a few bad marks are fine. Your extra curricular looks amazing and if you did well in the interview and test you should be good to go :D.

lolskies I'm pretty sure you can get in through a first round offer, if you are in the top 200 of those that sat the interview, and are in the top 5 in your school that tried out :).

Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum and this 'Testing Talk' looks quite appealing to me.
I also did the JMSS Entrance Exam this year and I got an Interview too.
I am in the same shoes as most of you guys.
Kinda' anxious and excited to find out if you made it and also kinda' scared and nervous that if you didn't.

PS there is only 12 more days till the results come out, so Good Luck to all of you. ;)
