Engineering or commerce, im not sure which?

ok so im finishing school in 2015 and have been wondering what courses to do. Im just going to list my thoughts and would like any feedback you might have. I am doing VCE English, Physics, Methods, Revolutions, Global politics and Business management.

Im expecting to get a good ATAR between (90 - 95). I have no interest in medicine or law. my interests are in commerce and/or engineering.

I personally am a very people oriented person and consider myself a humanities guy. That said i still get A's in maths and science, although dont enjoy them as much. I really want to be able to do good with my career as well as being useful, not just some banker.

commerce

I like the idea of doing commerce because business is people oriented. I also like the idea of a corse that is a little less full on than engineering. if i was to do it at Monash i would probably major in Finance and International Business. i like the idea of the international business major as it would back my love of the humanities.

Engineering
Conversely I like the idea engineering, I love technology and building/doing physical things. Additionally, i like the idea of having a profession as such, commerce isn't really an academic profession.

Both

As for both, I get the feeling that the commerce is marginalised to accommodate for the Engineering aspects. I dont really know what i want to do and like to keep options open. it almost feels like there would be less options with engineering and one commerce major rather than two.

Any input greatly appreciated.

You made duplicate threads a few minutes apart. I deleted your older one and left this one.

From the information you've provided, I would suggest you pursue a commerce/engineering double degree.

Then again, you've still got two more years of school and your mind can change in that time.

Also, a bachelor of engineering plus one commerce major is in no way inferior to a double major commerce degree in terms of employment opportunities.

Ultimately, it all comes down to what you're interested in!
