What should I expect for my student connect appointment (I am in first year)
Do I have to bring anything?

Is it necessary to make an interview, if they don't call you?  :)

Personally, I didn't think mine was all that useful. :( Sooo probably not, unless you're really keen to meet them or you're looking for something in particular. Seems like the first year interviews are just to make sure you know they're available for help.

You can make an appointment whenever you want during the year anyway (right?), if anything comes up.

Thanks for that! :)

I actually thought mine was beneficial, but that's mainly because I went in with a concern and they were able to point me in the right direction.

Yeah, I basically walked in, sat down, had a chat with the advisor, and forgot about everything we'd discussed the moment I walked out.

That being said, they'll send you an email with a bunch of links to things you may have discussed or have questions about. Mine wasn't all that useful either, but then again, I didn't really have too many big questions to begin with. :P I'd say, go along to an interview, you never know what you might find out.
