Yeah... I was about to point out the same thing.
Rest of the month = Feb 28th

Jaffies, people have already been kind enough to explain how you can organise public transport concession, but I've just uploaded a picture showing where the link is on WES in case anyone looking hasn't found it yet.

This might be a stupid question but once you've become a member of a club, especially in the bigger ones like the science society, how do you prove you're a member at things like BBQs?

Often they'll give you something, like a sticker for your student card, or a separate membership card etc.

When i was in the science society about 2 years ago, i got a totally separate plastic membership card. The SVGA gave me a paper card. So, it's pretty much like what Alondouek said. The science society isn't worth it just for the BBQ's imo, especially considering the membership cost, if you're sure you'll do the other things then it's OK.

Is there a basketball club at Monash Caulfield? I've had a look around and haven't found anything, it seems weird there wouldn't be one?

I don't know if sports like that have formal clubs per se but there are "social sports" available on clayton where you form a mixed team of mixed skills. If clayton has a basketball club (check), it isn't too far away of a trip, maybe 10-20 minute train ride max (or take the uni shuttle bus).

Oh right before i forget, anyone in the board games/video games club (or interested), because i'm interested in those too. Anyone thinking of joining the kendo club (or at least trying it out, free for the first few weeks!) or any other sport club?

Really keen to find a martial art, so I'm going to give kickboxing a go this week. I've got a bad elbow from a car accident though, so I've gotta find a sport that won't overwork my left elbow. Any suggestions? :D

Ballroom dancing? Nah, whats your definition of overwork? Kendo is really...really out then. So is fencing.  Taekwondo is mostly feet but the Monash club is the south korean kind, i grew up doing the north korean kind and like it much better, they're way to sporty for my tastes, same with the subtle differences, worth trying it out i suppose. If you do want to try clubs, now is the time to strike, the first week or two are almost always universally free. Akido is usually thought to be soft and gentle but theres a lot of throwing too.

Here's a full list of the sports clubs - http://monash.edu/teammonash/clubs/contacts.html

I was looking for the board games club all o-week, not sure if they had a tent. I did get into the VG club, a hallmate dragged me (kicking and screaming) to them
